Recipes for Stir Fry Sauce
This hub is in response to a question I saw posted on someone's hub. Unfortunately, I seem to be unable to find the question now. It asked if anyone knew a good recipe for a stir fry sauce to go with chicken. I thought what a great idea for a hub. Well, here's the answer. I am including 5 recipes for stir fry sauces that will work well with chicken. In each of them to make them blend with beef all you have to do is change the chicken broth to beef broth. Having fun trying them and happy eating.
Quick and Easy Stir Fry Sauce
Low Sodium Stir Fry Sauce
Ingredients:
2 tbsp sesame oil
1 clove garlic minced
1/2 tsp ginger root
2 cups low sodium, low fat chicken broth
4 tbsp light soy sauce
4 tbsp brown sugar substitute (I suggest Splenda)
1 tsp pepper
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp cornstarch
4 tbsp water
Directions:
Heat oil in small sauce pan. Add garlic and ginger root and stir fry for about 30 seconds.
Add chicken broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, pepper and lemon juice and bring to a boil stirring frequently.
Dissolve cornstarch in water and add to sauce blending thoroughly.
Heat sauce until it thickens and reaches a full boil.
Turn heat to low and simmer for an additional 30 seconds.
Add to stir fry and heat for 1 - 2 minutews on low.
Sweet With a Touch of Tart Stir Fry Sauce
Ingredients:
1/4 cup cornstarch
3 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp fresh ginger root, minced
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 tsp ground red pepper
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tbsp duck sauce
4 tbsp vinegar
1 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup water
Directions:
Combine cornstarch, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, and ground red pepper into a medium bowl.
Add soy sauce, duck sauce, and vinegar and whisk until well blended.
Add broth and water and whisk until well blended.
Add to stir fry and simmer for 2 minutes on low heat.
Basic Stir Fry Sauce
Ingredients:
1 1/2 tsp sesame oil
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp ground ginger
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 tsp duck sauce
1 tbsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp tabasco sauce
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 1/2 tsp lemon juice
1 1/2 tsp cornstarch
Directions:
Heat oil in small saucepan and add garlic and ginger. Stir fry for about 30 seconds.
Add chicken broth, soy sauce, duck sauce, brown sugar, tabasco sauce, salt, pepper and lemon juice and bring to a boil constantly stirring.
Dissolve cornstarch in 1 tbsp water and whisk into sauce.
Heat sauce until it thickens and reaches a full boil
Turn heat to low and simmer for about 30 seconds.
Mix with stir fry and serve.
Incredibly Easy Stir Fry Sauce
Ingredients:
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp cornstarch
1 cup chicken broth
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together, add to stir fry and stir fry on low for 2 minutes. Enjoy.
