Fried Dough Recipes
What is Fried Dough?
If you come from the North you are familiar with fried bread dough. You see it at every fair, flea market and sometimes street corner in the largests of cities. The dough is fried to a beautiful golden brown and served with different toppings, it's usually your choice which one. Fried dough is served on paper plates and is eaten by hand, that's right, you don't use a fork and knife.
I looked around for different types of fried bread dough recipes so I could give you a choice. I tried to pick what I thought was the best. My mother-in-law makes the best fried dough I have ever eaten. When she makes her home-made bread dough, she saves some of the dough aside. She calls them "Dough Boys" and believe me eating them is sheer heaven. So, I would suggest to all of you out there who makes home-make bread to save the dough and make your own Dough Boys. You'll love them with or with out the sugars and butters. They're good with just plain old butter.
