Such great recipes. I'd much rather make a cake in a crock pot than an oven - they always stay nice and moist.

I've even done a zucchini bread which really was more like a cake. Excellent. Thanks a lot!

BK, I've never done zucchini bread in a crock pot, I bet it's good. I'm with you, I love making cakes in a crockpot. The first one I ever made was the chocolate - it's so rich and moist. It's nice to hear from you.

Thanks so much for posting these. I was just thinking about Crock Pot cakes yesterday and wondered about the best recipes for making them.

RTalloni, I have made the chocolate a couple of times a year with my class for the last 4 years. It is easy and I've never found a person who didn't like it. As for the other recipes I have tried them, they are really delicious and also easy. For me, the chocolate is my favorite. You might find one of the other will be yours.

I have never made a crockpot cake. How do you get the cake out once done?

Bethany, a crockpot cake needs to be served in a bowl. You scoop it out with a large spoon. If you want to store it in a plastic container, you simply sccop the cake out and place it in the container and store it in the fridge. You can reheat it if you wish. Many people eat it with a topping of ice cream, whipped cream or both. It's the same consistancy as a regular cake.
