A very nice collection, it seems that common sense is not that common after all. Nice work, quite a good collection of 'common' proverbs for reference too. Thank you.

Love quotes and proverbs!

Surprsingly - when I was teaching - nothing had a greater impact on the students than proverbs. I used them to start a lesson so the students would start thinking and have some opinions. It always worked.

I'm going to share that proverb about 'He who doesn't have common sense by age 30...' when I see a friend next week. We're both in our early 60s and were shocked at how silly some of our old friends/colleagues are that we are catching up with - but wait - they had no common sense, even when they turned 30. Yikes!

Rated up!

BKCreative, I also use sayings and proverbs in class. It really makes the students think. I love how differently they explain what they mean. There seems to be a woeful lack of common sense these days.
